Lylux Project: Mall of Emirates – BOH

Our project collaboration with Al Futtaim Group and Enova at the Mall of Emirates had many similarities with our project at Dubai Mall during the same period.

Also a renovation project focused on energy and operational cost reduction, we were again requested to retrofit all 30W T8 LED tubes operating 24/7 at the BOH. Our replacements were 22W LED tubes installed with integrated PIR sensors, providing the addition function of adjustable light level dimming if motion remains undetected for an adjustable time period. Undimmed lux levels were maintained before and after the renovation.

Although the CAPEX was greater for our solution compared to others, due to the maximization of energy savings, this solution offered the shortest ROI with the additional benefit of minimal maintenance requirements. The percentage of operational cost saving is calculated to be at 79%, with the ROI being under 11 months.

A 5-year warranty on all products was provided, however the client did not report any product failures nor request any maintenance within this period.
