Lylux Project: Emirates Living – Street Lights

The Emirates Living neighbourhood is a series of gated residential communities focusing on providing the modern lifestyle. This project in encompassed the communities of Emirates Hills, The Springs and The Meadows.

We were tasked with upgrading the street lighting systems consisting of 3,530 street pole-lights with our Neptune S street luminaires. Here the challenge presented by ECM was to complete the renovation without altering the current lighting layout, whilst maintaining or surpassing the original lux levels within the community.

We conducted in situ lux tests of the original lighting setup to establish a benchmark, followed by lux calculations with multiple optical variations to ascertain the ideal optics solution. A luminaire sample of our best solution was provided to ECM. After approval, this sample went on to be the benchmark for the tender process, which we subsequently won.

Of the 3,530 lighting units supplied, Lylux has fulfilled the agreed installation of a total of 500 units (with ECM fulfilling the installation the remainder).
